Lobster-trap Christmas Trees Dot the Coast of Maine

It's that time of year again! Lobster-trap trees pop up in communities all along the Maine coast. From Cape Neddick to Rockland to Jonesport, the trees are being assembled and lighted in what has turned into a friendly competition among the towns where lobstering is a way of life.

Plan ahead for next year's tree lighting ceremonies which take place the Saturday after Thanksgiving along with all of the holiday festivities happening along the coast the first and second weekends of December. Santa arrives by lobster boat in Camden and by Harley in Freeport.
